World Cup oracle octopus Paul dies

Paul the Octopus correctly predicting the outcome of the World Cup final between Spain and the Netherlands in July.

Berlin, Germany (CNN) -- Paul the Octopus, who correctly predicted the outcome of games during this year's World Cup soccer tournament, has died.

The eight-tentacled cephalopod oracle died of natural causes, the aquarium where he lived said Tuesday. He was 2 and a half.

"We are consoled by the knowledge that he enjoyed a good life here ..." said Stefan Porwoll, manager of the Oberhausen Sea Life Center in western Germany. "We had all naturally grown fond of him and he will be sorely missed."

Paul enthralled millions of people around the world by correctly predicting the outcome of several World Cup matches this year.

His caretakers set him up to make predictions for a particular match by draping boxes in his tank with the national flags of teams that were set to play each other. The boxes contained octopus food. The caretakers divined Paul's pick by watching to see which box he opened first.

"Paul amazed the world by correctly predicting the winners of all Germany's World Cup clashes, and then of the final," Porwoll said in a statement.

His prescience attracted a legion of news reporters and photographers. It also inspired a special clothing line and mobile phone applications, the center said. A documentary film on Paul is scheduled to debut soon. And donations made in Paul's name helped pay for a permanent sea turtle rescue center on the Greek island of Zakynthos.

The sea center has Paul's body in cold storage as it finalizes funeral plans.

"We may decide to give Paul his own small burial plot within our grounds and erect a modest permanent shrine," Porwoll said. "While this may seem a curious thing to do for a sea creature, Paul achieved such popularity during his short life that it may be deemed the most appropriate course of action."

Popeyes Food Challenge

Hey, remember the Ultimate Food Challenge I mentioned before?

Yea, the person in charge called me twice the other day and I didn't get to pick up the phone cos I was working at that time.
And I was actually email-ed her saying that I wanted to take part in the ice-cream challenge.
However, at the end, I decided not to call her back since I went for the orthodontics to adjust my teeth just the day before the challenge.
How sad right, if not, I'll deffo be the CHAMPION of that particular challenge. Huh, just kidding la...


But but but, Michael & Sean got the chance to participate in the Popeyes Meal Challenge.

Got 20 contestants in each of the challenge.
What they were needed to eat in this Popeyes challenge are coleslaw, nuggets, mash potato, and biscuits.

He came yesterday just to visit Sean & Michael for the competition.
And there was this challenge went on during the break time.
What they required to do was to drink 2 cans of Pepsi. The quickest one will grabbed away 2 cartons of Pepsi.
He beated other 6 contestants and won himself!

p.s. - Sorry for the lack of update. Working has eaten up most of my days. 24 hours seems not enough for me. sob.

Nothing much to say, job is getting a bit mundane….I have to sit around all the channels available in ASTRO, which takes few weeks to complete before get into shift.

Was actually quite upset today. A colleague misunderstood me and talking nonsense about me to the others.

Colleague A: You this girl ah, keep walking around like no need to do the job.
Me: (*thinking to myself and just smile to him) Huh? I just finished my channel in DH&H, stood up and tried to put my water bottle back to my place. Is that something wrong??? I never walked around for the past 2 hours also since I reached the workplace.

After lunch...

Colleague B: Were you the one who sat with me the other day in TLC and came back half an hour late during tea time?
Me: No. I never sat with you before..
Colleague B: Weren't that you? Then nevermind larh, you continue with your editing. (* I can't even got the chance to explain cos his facial expression was like suspecting me!)
Me: (*thinking..) Only then I knew why colleague A said me keep on walking around just now before luncg. Cos colleagues A & B sat together and B told A that I was coming back late the other day.

The fact is this is my first time sitting with colleague B and I still remember very clearly that TLC is my first sitting-in channel with a Chinese senior. Not this Malay colleague B.

What made me frustrated was you never clarify it with me beforehand on the contrary you just simply back stabbed me behind others. wth! Truly a very bad experience for me in my first job.

Another thing to take in, I feel like I’m beginning to experience a little bit of road rage. I get pissed off at people driving slowly on the fast lane, or not signalling and all that, that I find myself having to take big breaths to calm me down. I’m enjoying my job still but the driving and the long hours is just killing me. I'll be going to Cyberjaya starting this week for training since I've completed all the channels in ABC. It's freaking 45++km from my house to CJ. whatthefuck rite?? I think I might move out if things don't work properly. I’ve lost about 2 kgs since I started work and I can see myself deteriorating slowly.

Anyways, I think I better end here. I'm getting very sleepy and I'm just typing whatever's jumbled up in my head right now. Good night..

Day away to Mid Valley with part of my beloved M-Gals gang ♥♥♥
Got myself prepared at around 10am and then off I drove all the way to MV alone.
I feel so lonely inside the car cos there's no one talking to me :(((
What to do? Twist the radio's volume loudly and drive.
I wasn't scared at all although this is my first time driving there cos from Klang to MV is just a straight road using LDP.
When I wanted to turn into MV's road, I missed the path cos there's this stupid public bus blocked at the roadside which I couldn't get the chance to turn into.
After that I started panic. Guess what? I drove to Cheras instead...

But but but, since Michelle is intelligent enough which NONE OF YOU can deny this fact, I turned into Bandar Tasik Selatan to make a U-turn after Cheras toll.
Of cos I reached MV safely if not I wouldn't typing the post now. hehehe...

See see. In order to match my height, this 173cm (???cm. Whatever la, she is real tall! cos her shoe's size is 10!! Mine is only 5!) Melissa has to get her butt cocky. lol

Now is normal. Let me introduce you this Sabahan gal, her name is Melissa.
She is a straight As student, what she always emphasize is '我是正宗的独中生!'
But the thing - '我是正宗的独中生!' really pull me down, cos her chinese and history are ... You know what I mean. I rather bang the wall instead. -_-

I'm so tension these few days.
Not because of work. But relationship.
I think we have come to an end.
Has no patience for people who are f***ing rude.
Misconstrue by others is not a pleasant feeling for me.
I didn't do all those things but why you're like suspecting me??!! I swear.

I'm tired. I just want my single life back.
That's all I can ask.
Not only relationship. Family problems have tortured me for more than 15 years.
No one knows it cos I never talk to anyone.
I keep it secret on my own but this has led me to almost burn out.
I really wish there's someone I can talk to.
Meditation is needed right now.

Pyramid ytd to watch The legend of Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen.
I'm amazed with the fighting scenes of Donnie Yen.
My rating for this movie would be 9/10.
Catch it if you haven't do so.
There should be an episode 2 if I'm not mistaken.

Another note, it was so happen that Fala Chen (HK TVB actress) was there at the SP's main entrance to promote her new Cantonese series.
Guess most of you know the series right.

She is so so sweet and adorable. :D I especially love her casting in 唐心风暴之家好月圆.

Look at the crowd!! People everywhere just to support the series!

Sorry for my hiatus for a week.
How's your day? Holidays? Studying? Working?
Life's busy since my working life started.
I don't even have time to my own things. A truly hassle.
I departed from house early morning and reached house everyday almost at 7pm.
Bath, eat, watch tv, and all.. Its already 10pm. Its time to sleep as well.
Sigh. I need time to calm myself down and do some reading weihhh.

This is the book OR somewhat biography which I'm reading recently.

Programmes will delay differently in various channels.
It can be 3 mins, 5 mins, or even 1 hour.
The incoming computer is the programmes we receive directly from the satellite and have time limitation to edit before it goes on air.


Oh huh, if you think that watch tv and get paid every month is an easy job, I tell you, it's wrong.
Especially when you're being directed to a bored channel, like Turbo.
Worst one, I fall asleep when I watched tv for a long time. Like 8 hours NON-STOP!
Better kill me.
